"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."
— George R.R. Martin
Your personal book curator for a life shaped by reading
We do not sell books. We design reading journeys — carefully sequenced paths through literature that transform how you think, lead, and create. Based in Hong Kong, serving curious minds worldwide.
Most recommendation engines rely on purchase history and popularity. We take a fundamentally different approach — one rooted in literary criticism, cognitive science, and deep conversation with each reader. Every path we build follows a five-stage framework refined over five years of practice.
Stage 01
Reader portrait
We begin with a structured interview exploring your reading history, intellectual interests, professional context, and the emotional registers that resonate with you. This portrait becomes the foundation of every recommendation we make.
Stage 02
Thematic mapping
Our curators chart the themes, questions, and tensions that matter most to you right now. We identify intersections between disciplines — where a novel might illuminate a business challenge, or a philosophy text might reframe a personal transition.
Stage 03
Sequence design
Order matters. We arrange your reading path so each book builds on the last, creating compounding insight. A well-sequenced path of seven books can achieve what forty random selections cannot.
Stage 04
Guided annotations
Each book arrives with a bespoke reading guide: key passages to linger on, questions to sit with, and connections to the next title in your path. These guides transform passive reading into active intellectual engagement.
Stage 05
Reflection and recalibration
After each cycle, we meet to discuss what landed, what surprised you, and what shifted. Your portrait evolves, and the next path adapts accordingly. This is reading as an ongoing practice, not a one-off list.
Curated collections
Beyond personalised paths, we maintain signature collections — thematic book sets designed for specific moments, roles, and ambitions. Each collection contains between five and twelve titles, sequenced for maximum impact.
The founder's library
Twelve essential books for entrepreneurs building something that matters — spanning strategy, psychology, narrative, and ethics.
Thinking in systems
Seven books that rewire how you understand complexity, feedback loops, and emergent behaviour.
The inner landscape
Nine books on consciousness, meditation, and the examined life — from ancient Stoics to contemporary neuroscience.
What we offer
Every service we provide is designed around one conviction: the right book at the right moment can change the trajectory of a life, a team, or an organisation. Here is how we deliver on that conviction.
Personal reading paths
Our flagship offering. After your reader portrait session, we design a sequenced path of five to twelve books tailored to your current questions and aspirations. Includes annotated reading guides for each title and a mid-path check-in conversation.
Executive book briefings
For leaders who need the substance without the time investment. We distil a book into a forty-minute briefing that captures its core argument, its strongest evidence, and its practical implications for your specific context. Not a summary — an interpretation.
Team reading programmes
We design quarterly reading programmes for leadership teams and organisations. Each programme includes curated book selections, facilitated discussion guides, and a synthesis session that connects the reading to your strategic priorities.
Private library curation
Building a personal library is an art. We audit your existing collection, identify gaps, and source specific editions — including rare, first-edition, and out-of-print titles. We also design shelving arrangements that make your library a working intellectual tool.
Book gifting concierge
The right book is the most personal gift you can give. Tell us about the recipient — their interests, their moment, their sensibility — and we will select a title, write a bespoke inscription suggestion, and arrange delivery with considered presentation.
Literary event hosting
We design and host intimate literary salons, author conversations, and themed reading evenings for private groups across Hong Kong. Each event is built around a provocative question and a carefully chosen text, creating space for the kind of conversation that rarely happens elsewhere.
Questions we hear often
Algorithms recommend books based on what people similar to you have purchased. We recommend books based on who you are becoming. Our curators are trained literary critics and educators who understand narrative structure, intellectual genealogy, and the psychology of reading. The result is not a list — it is a designed experience with intentional sequencing and guided reflection.
Not at all. Many of our clients read only two or three books per quarter. The value is not in volume but in precision. We help you invest your limited reading time in titles that will genuinely matter to you, with guides that help you extract maximum insight from each one.
Our curators specialise across literary fiction, narrative non-fiction, philosophy, history, science writing, business strategy, psychology, and memoir. We deliberately cross genre boundaries because the most powerful reading paths connect ideas across disciplines. If your interest is highly specialised — say, computational biology or maritime law — we will be transparent about whether we can serve you well.
Our personal reading path service starts at HKD 3,800 for a five-book sequence with full annotations and one check-in session. Extended paths and ongoing quarterly programmes are priced based on scope. We are happy to discuss options during an initial conversation — reach out through the contact form below.
Absolutely. While our studio is based in Central, Hong Kong, we serve clients across thirty-four countries. Reader portrait sessions happen over video call, and all materials are delivered digitally. For team programmes, we can facilitate discussions in person across Asia-Pacific or remotely for global teams.
We can. Our private library curation and book gifting services include sourcing and delivery. For reading paths, we provide precise edition recommendations and purchasing links, but sourcing is optional. If you prefer e-books or audiobooks, we accommodate that as well — though we always note when a particular title benefits from a physical format.
